Day 1: Transfer to Semliki National Park. Visit the Amabere g’ Nyninammwiru caves & hike the Fort Portal Crater Lake field en route.

After breakfast, embark on the transfer to Semuliki National Park 352km about 7 – 8 hours’ drive from Kampala. You will drive through impressive country side landscapes including the amazing scenery of Mubende Inselbergs. Traverse the rural landscapes of Mpigi, Mityana, Mubende, Kyegegwa, Kyenjojo eventually Kabarole districts. Arrive in Fort Portal town for lunch after which you will proceed to the Amabere g’ Nnyinamwiru caves an ancient historical breast like features that are geologically stalagmites and stalactites but the locals attach great traditions on them as breasts of Nnyinamwiru the daughter of Bukuku an imposed King of the Bachwezi. You will drive through impressive country side landscapes including the amazing scenery of Mubende Inselbergs. Traverse the rural landscapes of Mpigi, Mityana, Mubende, Kyegegwa, Kyenjojo eventually Kabarole districts. Arrive in Fort Portal town for lunch after which you will proceed to the Amabere g’ Nnyinamwiru caves an ancient historical breast like features that are geologically stalagmites and stalactites but the locals attach great traditions on them as breasts of Nnyinamwiru the daughter of Bukuku an imposed King of the Bachwezi. The laughter cut off her breasts in protest of her father’s denying her to breastfeed her son Ndahura when he threw him in the stream as the foretellers told him that he was a threat to his Kingship. Day 2: Do Morning Chimpanzee trekking & afternoon Bigodi wetland walk
After an early breakfast, gather at the tourism Center at Kanyanchu to catch up with briefing at 8am. After briefing you head to the jungle of Kibale dubbed the primate capital of the world in search of habituated Chimpanzees. The trek for chimps takes 2 – 5 hours and the direct encounter with Chimpanzees lasts for one (1) hour. The hike through the forested landscapes exposes you to counts of birds and other primate species as well including the Black and white colobus monkey. Retreat from the activity to the starting point, relax a little, take your packed lunch of you did not take it in the forest and then transfer to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for an afternoon wetland walk. The wetland is the most successful eco-tourism initiative in Uganda and the walk exposes you to the lush flora, swamp dwelling animals like Sitatungas, birds like the great blue Turaco among others. The touch of the community can be felt. From the activity, you retreat to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala. Visit the Nakayima tree en route

You will drive through impressive country side landscapes that are dotted with lush green.
