Overview

The 3 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari to Queen Elizabeth National Park is an interesting short safari that will expose you to the magical sights of the lush country side, the rolling savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park lying on the rift valley floor dotted with counts of wild game and the magical views of the Rwenzori Mountains. The park has four of the big five land animals including the Elephants, Buffaloes, Leopards and lions. The launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel presents a memorable experience.

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth NP, stop at Uganda Equator crossing Kayabwe & traditional lunch stop at Igongo Cultural Center
You transfer from your place of stay in Kampala to embark on the drive to the south west of Uganda along Masaka Road to Queen Elizabeth National Park 417km about 7 hours’ drive. The drive will see you make a stop at Uganda Equator Crossing Kayabwe 77km from Kampala which marks the world’s main latitude crossing. The site is impressive for photography and experiments can be carried out to justify the geographical divide between the north and the southern hemispheres. You will proceed on the drive before making another stop at Igongo Cultural Center 12km to Mbarara town for traditional Lunch after which your will continue on the drive passing the scenic Bunyaruguru Crater field and arrive in the park in the evening for relaxation, dinner an overnight.

Day 2: Do Morning game drive & afternoon Kazinga Channel Launch Cruise
After an early cup of coffee head to the rolling savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park to have chances of encountering a wide range of game among which include four of the Big five land animals namely Elephant, lion, leopard and Buffaloes. The other wild game that can be encountered include the side stripped jackal, the water bucks, Kobs among others. The plains of Kasenyi extending to the mating ground present a rich encounter for wild game viewing in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The activity takes 3 – 4 hours after which you will return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. In the afternoon, father at Mweya jetty at 2pm for the 2 our launch cruise on the 45km long Kazinga Channel. The encounter gives you chances of spotting Nile Crocodiles, Hippos, water birds and tither wild game drinking on the channel side. The cruise stretches to the shores of Lake Edward with impressive views of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Retire for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Do Morning Chimpanzee trekking & transfer to Kampala
After an early breakfast, transfer to Kyambura gorge in the East of Queen Elizabeth National Park for an amazing Chimpanzee trekking experience. Commonly known as the Valley of Apes, the gorge supports counts of habituated Chimpanzees thriving below sea level in the lush tropical forest. The Kyambura gorge of 100m deep and its steep slopes presents a challenging trek which is an added experience of its own. Your encounter with chimps lasts for one (1) hour watching them as they roll on tree branches, socialize and make pant hooting calls. Retreat from the activity which tends to last between 2 – 5 hours to embark in the transfer back to Kampala.
