The Lake Mburo National Park located in the traditional range lands of Ankole supporting great counts of antelope populations including the Impala which is found in no any other park in Uganda and has the great counts of Burchell’s Zebra compared to Kidepo and Pian Upe where such species exist. The park as impressive savannah landscapes dotted with great acacia vegetation. The local communities with their traditional Ankole long horned cattle are rewarding to encounter.

Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park & do a night game drive
After breakfast form you place of stay in Kampala, embark on the transfer to Lake Mburo National Park in the south west of Uganda 240km about 3 – 4 hours’ drive. The drive will see you arrive at the Uganda Equator crossing Kayabwe 77km from Kampala for impressive magical photo shoots and the water experiments. The world latitude that marks the distinction between the southern and the northern hemisphere is a historical feature to stand amidst. From Kayabwe, you will proceed to Lake Mburo National Park arriving at the lodge in time for lunch and afternoon relaxation. At night, you embark on the night game drive to have encounter with night dwelling animals. The encounter exposes to you nocturnal species like Aardvark, white tailored Mongoose, genet cat, bush pigs among others including the leopard and spotted hyena. The drive also exposes you to other wild game that grazes during the day resting at night including Antelopes and Zebras. Retire from the activity and settle for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Do morning game walking safari & afternoon boat Cruise on Lake Mburo
After breakfast, embark on the walking safari after the sun rise through the impressive rolling scenic acacia landscapes dotted with great counts of acacia Species and the range of grazers that inhabit the lands. The sights of Impala only found here in Uganda’s ten (10) national Parks, Burchell’s Zebra thriving in bigger quantities than in Kidepo and Pian Upe, the topis, elands, buffaloes, wart hogs, and water bucks among others. The walk takes you through impressive landscapes including the hike to the Kazuma Hill which offers magical views of Lake Mburo and the range of five Lakes that have stretches with in the park. Retire from the activity back to the lodge for relaxation and lunch after which you will embark on the boat cruise on Lake Mburo. The lake is gifted with counts of Hippos, water birds like African fin foot, cormorants and the African fish eagle. The wild game might also be seen drinking on the lake shores. Retire from a two (2) hour activity and transfer to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Do Morning Banyankole Community tour & transfer back to Kampala
Visit the Enyemebwa center which is under the management of Ankole Cow Conservation Association (ACCA) working to endure the continuity of Ankole long horned cattle Species along with their respective traditions. The kraal, herd’s man hut, respective handicrafts, and the entire setting that features that of the traditional Hima people of Ankole are other things that you encounter at this center. You participate in the traditional hand milking, treating of sick animals, setting out to graze in the field and smearing the soil made water trough and watering the cows. Retreat from the community encounter to embark in the transfer to Kampala
